The 2010 City of Dayton Amateur Golf Tournaments 

Think you have what it takes?  Come and tee it up with the best that the area has to offer.  We have made some changes to our tournaments in response to your concerns. 

• The Stroke Play Tournaments will be flighted.  This means that everyone will be grouped with players of similar skill level and everyone has a chance to win their flight.
• All events, with the exception of the Senior Match Play event will be held on consecutive weekends.  This will allow those who can't clear their schedules for an entire week to be able to compete in our events. 

Your tournament registration fee of $75.00 (each event) includes:

• Range balls prior to your tee time each day
• Two rounds of golf (minimum)
• Lunch on the first two days of the event

Men's Match Play - June 5 and 6; June 12 and 13 at  Kittyhawk Golf Center.  This event was held in 2009 at Madden Golf Course and Steve Block was the winner.  This was Steve's second City Match Play Championship, winning previously in 2007.  Steve earned his fifth City of Dayton Amateur Golf Tournament Championship, also winning the City Stroke Play Championship in 1996, 2006, and 2008. Bryant Shillito was the Runner-up.  Registration deadline is June 2, 2010 at 6:00 pm.

Men's Senior Match Play - July 6 through July 11 at Community Golf Course.  Registration deadline is July 3, 2010 at 6:00 pm.  Last year's event was held at Kittyhawk Golf Center  - Dennis Reasoner was the Winner in the 50 - 59 age group. 

Hank Chafin was the winner in the 60 - 69 age group while Bob Wagner was the winner of the Super Senior flight for golfers ages 70+.

Men's Stroke Play - Played August 21 and 22; August 28 and 29 at  Madden Golf Course.  Registration deadline is August 18, 2010 at 6:00 pm.  The greens at Community were putting VERY fast in 2009, providing for a  very challenging week for participants.  Madden's greens will offer a similar challenge in 2010.

Senior Men's Stroke Play - Played August 21 and 22; August 28 and 29 at  Madden Golf Course.  Registration deadline is August 18, 2010 at 6:00 pm.
